Our Institutions

Health

Health and social facilities

The Seventh-day Adventist Church recognizes that the key to wellness lies in a life of balance and self-control. God created a wealth of good things that lead to vibrant health. Pure water, fresh air and sunlight promote clean, healthy lives. Where possible, members shall be encouraged to follow a primarily vegetarian diet.
ADRA

Adventist Development and Relief Agency

The Adventists believe that the basis for its existence, its raison d’être, is to follow Christ’s example by being a voice for, serving, and partnering with those in need. They seek to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries in order to improve the quality of life of those populations that need humanitarian support. In order to accomplish such aspiration, the Adventists appointed a global humanitarian organization named Adventist Development and Relief Agency Mission, ADRA.
Religious Freedom

Religious Freedom

The Adventists focus part of their mission on promoting and protecting religious freedom for all people. In order to accomplish this mission they established a department that, working in cooperation with other church departments, advocates public policy positions on issues in areas as diverse as human rights, health, education, women’s issues, the rights of prisoners, and aid and development. The Department of Public Affairs & Religious Liberty (PARL) is charged with representing the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church to national leaders from around the world.
Education

Education

The purpose of education, as intended by the Adventists, is a means of returning human beings to their original relationship with God. In the beginning, God created in His image a perfect humanity, a perfection later marred by sin. As such, the Adventists believe that the true education is to restore human beings into the image of God as revealed by the life of Jesus Christ, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This process of restoration responds to a balanced development of spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional faculties of the whole person, and triggers a process that spans a lifetime.
Media

Media

The primarily aim of the Seventh-day Adventists is to transmit in any possible way the message of the Gospel highlighted to the Second Coming of Jesus. Even though the natural channel of the transmission of this message remain the personal approach, it is necessary to take account of the use of the Media resources. Printing, Radio, Tv, Web, and other possible communication means aim to capture, emphasize, and reproduce the message of God's Word for broadcast across the airwaves and the web.
